Anika und Leo Sieg schreiben über das, was Menschen überall auf der Welt verbindet: Mut, Hoffnung, Neubeginn und Selbstbestimmung.
 Ihr Motto: „Du bist nicht allein – du hast einen Löwen an deiner Seite.“ Die beiden Profimusiker:innen lernten sich bei einer Musicalproduktion kennen und gründeten 2023 ihr Herzensprojekt ME & THE LION. Im selben Jahr erschien die Debütsingle „Let the Rain Come“. Daraufhin wurde das Duo 2024 von der International Mental Health Foundation nach New York City eingeladen, um als Headliner im Triad Theater in Manhattan aufzutreten. Das Konzert wurde unter anderem auf BroadwayWorld und am Times Square beworben. Dort erschien auch die zweite Single „Lose Yourself“, deren Musikvideo seine Premiere auf der großen Leinwand im Regal Cinema am Union Square feierte. Im Rahmen einer internationalen Gesprächsrunde auf der Fachtagung der American Psychiatric Association, der weltweit führenden psychiatrischen Organisation, sprach Anika gemeinsam mit renommierten Psychiatern über das Thema psychische Gewalt – und brachte damit Musik, Medien und Wissenschaft in einen gemeinsamen Dialog. Zuletzt wurde Anika auf dem Reeperbahn Festival eingeladen um auf einem Panel über mentale Gesundheit als Musikerin zu sprechen. Seitdem sind ME & THE LION auch regelmäßig bei Fachveranstaltungen und kulturellen Projekten in Deutschland zu Gast – als Künstler:innen, die zeigen, dass man Popmusik mit Prävention verbinden kann. Anika Sieg ist ausgebildete Musiktheaterdarstellerin mit Auftritten u. a. an der Staatsoper Hannover, der AWD-Arena, beim Jena Philharmonie Ball sowie auf internationalen Bühnen in Wien und Brüssel. Es folgten Engagements in New York City, wo sie in renommierten Venues wie dem Birdland, Friars Club und Cipriani Ballroom mit preisgekrönten Bands wie Manhattan City Music, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks und der Louis Armstrong Eternity Band auftrat. Leo Sieg ist Produzent, Audio Engineer und Multiinstrumentalist. Er ist zudem Geschäftsführer des Labels ASHtunes und leitet seit 2010 ein professionelles Tonstudio in Rostock, wo er international produziert. Als Schlagzeuger und Gitarrist war er europaweit mit verschiedenen Künstler:innen auf Tour. Er ist Endorser für Marken wie Ludwig, Sela und Porter & Davies. Most recently, she was invited to the Reeperbahn Festival to speak on a panel about mental health as a musician. Since then, ME & THE LION have become regular guests at professional and cultural events across Germany – as artists who prove that pop music and mental-health awareness can go hand in hand. Anika Sieg is a trained musical theatre performer who has appeared at venues such as the Staatsoper Hannover, AWD Arena, and Jena Philharmonic Ball, as well as on international stages in Vienna and Brussels. She went on to perform in New York City, singing at prestigious venues like Birdland, The Friars Club, and Cipriani Ballroom alongside award-winning bands including Manhattan City Music, Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks, and The Louis Armstrong Eternity Band. Leo Sieg is a producer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is also the CEO of the label ASHtunes and has been running a professional recording studio in Rostock, Germany since 2010, producing for international artists. As a drummer and guitarist, he has toured across Europe with various acts and is an endorser for Ludwig, Sela, and Porter & Davies. Together, Anika and Leo have performed over 900 live shows – across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, the Netherlands, and the USA.
